Claim for tax top-up 2023-2024

As a non-tax payer you may be eligible to receive a tax top-up contribution to your pension savings from now:pensions for the tax relief you've missed out on.

To qualify you must have made minimum pension contributions through your employer's pension scheme with us between 6 April 2023 and 5 April 2024 and complete this form so HM Revenue & Customs (HRMC) can validate the payment.

To claim a tax top-up, you must:

  1. confirm that the first two statements below are true
  2. give your authority for HMRC to provide your income tax details to now:pensions
  3. provide the personal details required
  4. submit this form by midnight on 31 December 2024. 
  •  Please make sure all the information you provide is correct. We may not be able to complete your claim if any details are missing or inaccurate.
  • Once we receive your form, we’ll assess your claim and, if you’re eligible, we’ll credit your pension savings with your tax top-up. We'll contact you directly to communicate the outcome, usually within three months of the claim cut-off date.
  • You must complete the form online. We can't accept forms sent by post or by email.
  • If your pension savings have been transferred out of now:pensions before the additional contribution is invested, your claim will be declined.
